Optimal Placement and Operation of Chlorine Booster Stations: A Multi-Level Optimization Approach

چکیده
Chlorine demand as a disinfectant for water utility impacts on unintended energy consumption from electrolysis manufacture; thus, diminishing the chlorine also reduces environmental impact and consumption. Problems of distribution uniformity in Water Distribution Networks (WDN) are associated with exponential urban growth physical biochemical difficulties within network. This study optimizes Booster Stations (CBS) location network two main objectives; (1) to deliver minimal Free Residual (FRC) throughout all nodes according country regulations, (2) reduce day mass concentration supplied system by applying an hour time pattern CBS, consequently economic, complying regulatory standards. The application is demonstrated real-world WDN modeled Guanajuato, Mexico. resulting optimal dosage schedule CBS provided insights maintaining residuals prevent health issues
